Job Description

The Manufacturing Production Assistant role will be required to perform tasks involving physical labor at a manufacturing plant, and will be required to operate a variety of hand and power tools. The Production Assistantwill be responsible for the efficient production of products according to established procedures, following all safety protocols and workplace policies.

Job Responsibilities

  • Operate and tend automated converting equipment
  • Mark, record and report defects
  • Clean and perform preparation of work-site.
  • Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials.
  • Lubricate, clean, maintain and repair machinery, equipment, and tools.
  • Load, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans and specifications.


  • High School Diploma
  • 1-2 years of experience as a General Laborer in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedure
  • Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
  • Effective verbal and listening communications skills
  • Time management skills
  • Critical eye for identifying defects
  • Commitment to quality and safety
  • Proactive in ensuring job knowledge is current.
