The Tissue Group, a division of Cascades, is the second-largest tissue producer in Canada and the fifth-largest in North America. The Group has more than 2,200 employees and operates seven manufacturing plants, nine conversion plants and four plants with both manufacturing and conversion facilities.

Your challenge!

The HR manager will partner with various team members and upper management to align and support the strategic business goals. The individual will have the opportunity to implement change and become a key partner of the leadership team.

Job Responsibilities

  • This position is responsible for leading the Human Resource functions for professional and sales staff within the Tissue division in the U.S.
  • Responsible for supervising, employee relations, benefits, payroll, recruiting, onboarding, reporting, and change management.


Business Objectives Alignment

  • Contribute to the implementaiton of Human Resources operational strategies.
  • Help develop the group's strategic plan and advise management as a Human Resources and management specialist.


Operational Excellence

  • Identify the Human Resources needs and propose action plans (budgets, resources, schedules) and their implementaiton.
  • Implement the Human Resources management strategies, practices and processes.
  • Support managers in managing their staff.
  • Support organizational transformation.


Human Resources

  • Support the engagement of the staff based on Cascades' values and business strategy.
  • Support the talent development and succession strategy.




  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration / Human Resources
  • 2-7 years in a Human Resource leadership role with progressive growth
  • Knowledge of Human Resource laws, practices, and labor is necessary to be successful in this position.
  • Strong Computer skills in HR systems and Microsoft Office.
