The Containerboard Packaging Group, a division of Cascades, is the largest containerboard producer in Canada, and is also a top converter of corrugated products in the country. The Group manufactures a wide range of products made from recycled fibres for its North American customers in the food, beverage and consumer products sectors, among many others. The Division, which employs close to 3,400 people, owns six containerboard mills and nineteen corrugated products plants in Canada and the United States.

Your challenge!

Reporting to the Designer Supervisor, the Master Data Technician's mission is to take charge of material creation phase, coordinating all teams and supported by S&OP strategy. You use your SAP knowledge and understanding of Cascades’ Operations to deliver accurate material creation. You have a strong communication with design team and make sure you understand the project and client’s particularity, ensuring that material is completed on time, in accordance with user requests, quote and operation guidance.

Job Responsibilities

Coordinate material creation phase with Sales, CSR, Design, Graphic and Operation 

Create and modify material in SAP​, confirming optimal machinery and plant •

Support tooling ordering and/or Validate tooling is in place (dies, plates, inks)

Under S&OP governance, take charge of material transfer when needed​

Maintain machine specifications and escalate to the governance committee if a change is required

Receive production requests, filter and take corrective actions when necessary

Support design-related functions as required

Desired experience

SAP knowledge

Understanding of corrugated and/or packaging industry 

Good attention to detail 

Ability to manage mandates autonomously.

Ability to proactively address issues and problems by proposing solutions

Strong analytical ability

Excellent organizational skills and versatility

Teamwork and ability to develop internal relations and contacts

Resourcefulness and willingness to share knowledge with S&OP
