The Tissue Group, a division of Cascades, is the second-largest tissue producer in Canada and the fifth-largest in North America. The Division manufactures, converts and markets a huge selection of paper products, such as hand towels, bathroom tissue, facial tissue, napkins, paper towels, wipers and dispensers for the North American away-from-home and consumer products markets. The Group has more than 2,200 employees and operates seven manufacturing plants, nine conversion plants and four plants with both manufacturing and conversion facilities.

Job Description

Reporting to the Shipping Supervisor and Logistics Manager, the employee will be responsible for the following functions:


- Must lift, stack and unstack articles and materials using electric powered truck equipped with different attachments.

- Must move finished material and raw goods to processing or dispatch areas of the factory with safety being of the utmost importance at all times.

- Must make sure goods are stored in the correct area of the warehouse so they may be located easily when making up orders.

- Must load transport vehicles making sure loads are evenly and securely placed.

- Must keep accurate records of daily operations using SAP and/or AS400.

- Must be able to read, understand & follow the production schedule.




- Must have 5 years forklift experience

- Roll Truck and/or clamp truck experience strongly desired.

- Must be safety conscious and accurate in all work performed

- Must possess detail orientation and awareness for both your co-workers and surroundings at all times.

- Strict adherence to all rules and regulations that surround material handling processes a must at all times and in all circumstances.

- Must have the ability to judge distance and follow all the designated traffic patterns and right of way

- Must maintain a good attendance record and work 10-12 hour shifts as required.

- Open availability in scheduling required.


Will be a temp to hire candidate for at least 90 days. If hired directly by Cascades, pay increases to $17.34 hourly. After two years of service, you could earn $19.16 hourly.
