The Tissue Group, a division of Cascades, is the second-largest tissue producer in Canada and the fifth-largest in North America. The Division manufactures, converts and markets a huge selection of paper products, such as hand towels, bathroom tissue, facial tissue, napkins, paper towels, wipers and dispensers for the North American away-from-home and consumer products markets. The Group has more than 2,200 employees and operates seven manufacturing plants, nine conversion plants and four plants with both manufacturing and conversion facilities.

Job Description

  • Operate winder, logsaw, wrapper, case packer, case printer, and case sealer
  • Complete roll changes, including webbing up the machine
  • Check and fill lamination, tail tie and pick up glues
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues
  • Operate hand tools, pallet jacks, and fire extinguishers
  • Follow SOP’s to complete product changeovers
  • Follow production schedules and complete production goals
  • Load boxes by hand to case packers
  • Maintain equipment and keep work environment clean
  • Other duties as assigned


Job Qualifications:

  • Use the correct equipment and tools to perform the job
  • Perform all job functions safely
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and work instructions
  • Work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position
  • Maintain positive attitude and co-operate with colleagues and management
  • Ensure conformance to product specifications by completing all quality checks
  • High School Diploma/GED Required


Temp To Hire after at least 90 days. Pay increases to $16.00 Hourly if hired by Cascades directly. If you learn to run a converting machine, you can earn $17.44 hourly to start.
