The Tissue Group, a division of Cascades, is the second-largest tissue producer in Canada and the fifth-largest in North America. The Division manufactures, converts and markets a huge selection of paper products, such as hand towels, bathroom tissue, facial tissue, napkins, paper towels, wipers and dispensers for the North American away-from-home and consumer products markets. The Group has more than 2,200 employees and operates seven manufacturing plants, nine conversion plants and four plants with both manufacturing and conversion facilities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Accurately complete daily work order/production reports.
  • Organize and Prioritize E&I related tasks
  • Maintain, repair and/or install electrical, electronic and instrumentation equipment
  • Read, understand and draw necessary Electrical schematics and controls
  • Must maintain clean work area and be able to perform other assigned duties in a timely manner.
  • Perform other duties requested by supervisor or manager


  • High School Diploma with Minimum of two (2) year degree in Industrial Electronics/Electrical Engineering or minimum of two years of E&I experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to read, understand and draw necessary Electrical schematics and controls
  • Knowledge of Allen Bradley, GE Fanuc PLCs, Allen Bradley AC Drive/Servo Controllers and Rexroth controls
  • Able to work at a fast pace, stable under pressure and organized, while staying within safety rules and regulations
  • Must be in good standing with the company including attendance and safety
  • Must be able to assist with operating various machinery and equipment
  • Work well with others as part of the team and independently without supervision
  • Must be willing and able to be cross-trained in other positions
  • Must be self-motivated, flexible, and available to work to support the needs of the mill
  • Must be willing to participate in teamwork to do procedures, health and safety work teams, and other problem-solving projects
  • Must be safety, quality, productivity and team-work oriented
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs in a stretching manner. Position involves a lot of physical work including lifting and repetitive bending
  • Leadership Experience and good organizational skills a plus
  • AutoCAD and Microsoft application a plus
