The Tissue Group, a division of Cascades, is the second-largest tissue producer in Canada and the fifth-largest in North America. The Division manufactures, converts and markets a huge selection of paper products, such as hand towels, bathroom tissue, facial tissue, napkins, paper towels, wipers and dispensers for the North American away-from-home and consumer products markets. The Group has more than 2,200 employees and operates seven manufacturing plants, nine conversion plants and four plants with both manufacturing and conversion facilities.

Your challenge!


As the Production Supervisor, you will have a diverse work load in support of the manufacturing needs of the plant.  

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for oversight of Boiler(s), pulp production, water and effluent treatment.
  • Supervise operational resources, coordination of daily activities and system lockout management.
  • Supports department and mill efforts in safety, productivity, quality, cost control and continuous improvement.
  • Manage pulp inventories.
  • Manage waste handling.
  • Will be reponsible for environmental reporting.


Desired Experience:

  • BS Pulp / Paper preferred
  • Experinece  overseeing boilers in production of stock highly desired
  • Minimum of 2 years supervising employees in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Record of safety compliance strongly desired


Technical competencies

  • SAP or similiar system knowledge and experience desired
  • MES experience desired
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook and Excel) expertise and knowledge.  Sharepoint and other similiar platforms.
  • OSHA understanding and compliance as related to manufacturing.
