Maintenance Supervisor

Your Challenge!

Reporting to the Production manager, the maintenance lead is part of a 3 person supervisory team over one production unit (paper machine). The maintenance lead is responsible for planning shutdowns, implementing PMs, implementing and overseeing Operator maintenance routes and managing all daily maintenance related activities related to the production unit. Position requires great leadership and coaching aptitudes, in depth knowledge of MP&S processes and successfully managing and implementing change

 

Job Responsabilities:

  • Provide process technical support in the paper mill in solving day-to-day problems
  • Conduct continuous improvement projects in quality, productivity, and cost by using scientific and statistical methods
  • Support the team in preventative and predictive maintenance work through innovative projects in engineering.
  • Manage capital projects and engineering projects with funding and without
  • Work within teams to utilize best manufacturing engineering practices to support innovative solutions
  • Development position for future growth as a maintenance manager role
     

Technical Competencies

  • Five to seven years of manufacturing engineering experience in both process and projects or relavant  journeyman experience. 
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time and on budget
  • Understanding and expertise with programs such as CAD, Solidworks and Microsoft projects
  • Ability to influence and engage employees to support change and engineering processes to improve the operations

Additional Experience

  • experience working on tissue machines
  • previous experience in change management 
  • experience in a Paper Mill manufacturing environment
