The Containerboard Packaging Group, a division of Cascades, is the largest containerboard producer in Canada, and is also a top converter of corrugated products in the country. The Group manufactures a wide range of products made from recycled fibres for its North American customers in the food, beverage and consumer products sectors, among many others. The Division, which employs close to 3,400 people, owns six containerboard mills and nineteen corrugated products plants in Canada and the United States.

Your challenge!

We are looking for a Financial Analyst to join the team of the packaging sector. Under the supervision of the Senior Sales Controller, the incumbent will have the following responsibilities:

Job Responsibilities

Oversee the Technicians team of the pricing and volume discount; Act as a financial support for the sales team; Ensure the continuous improvement of current processes (price maintenance and customers agreements manganement) Execute current accounting operations (month/term end, journal entry, accounts reconciliations) Actively contribute to the budget process of his business unit, including forecasts; Maintain an effective control structure to minimize the business risks inherent in operations and fraud; Ensure the reliability and completeness of the financial information produced; Monitor best practices in their specialty and share them within the organization.

Desired experience

Hold a bachelor's degree in administration or finance; Have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position; Have a analytical mind, autonomy and great level of initiative; Be organized and rigorous; Action oriented and be able to play an advisory role; Have an excellent knowledge of Excel; Have relevant experience in SAP, a strong asset; To be able to express oneself perfectly in French. A good level of English is required
