The Containerboard Packaging Group, a division of Cascades, is the largest containerboard producer in Canada, and is also a top converter of corrugated products in the country. The Group manufactures a wide range of products made from recycled fibres for its North American customers in the food, beverage and consumer products sectors, among many others. The Division, which employs close to 3,400 people, owns six containerboard mills and nineteen corrugated products plants in Canada and the United States.

Your challenge!

Reporting to the Vice-President – Sales for the containerboard business unit, the Sales Representative will have to make sure he reaches his sales objectives and make them grow according to a strategic plan, while providing an exceptional experience both regarding product quality and customer service.

Job Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell solutions and products adapted to customer needs and suggest products from our other divisions when needed;
  • Prospect new clients in order to increase our market share, and keep close business relations with our existing customers;
  • As a sales expert, support the implementation of containerboard’s business unit strategy;
  • Document administrative activities such as contracts and price lists, and ensure the update of the CRM;  
  • Participate actively to the production/logistics planning process by developing sales forecasts;
  • Ensure good management of unassigned products that are in inventory;
  • Develop market intelligence (best practices, trends, segmentation, competition, etc.), and share the information through the company.

Desired profile

  • Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or combination of relevant education and experience;
  • Have 3 years of experience in sales or customer service in a manufacturing field;
  • Be proactive on our customers’ requests;
  • Have great communication and interpersonal relationship skills to maintain and develop good business relations with our customers;
  • Have a good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite;
  • Be available to travel actively in North America;
  • Be fully bilingual.
