The Containerboard Packaging Group, a division of Cascades, is the largest containerboard producer in Canada, and is also a top converter of corrugated products in the country. The Group manufactures a wide range of products made from recycled fibres for its North American customers in the food, beverage and consumer products sectors, among many others. The Division, which employs close to 3,400 people, owns six containerboard mills and nineteen corrugated products plants in Canada and the United States.

Your challenge!

Reporting to the Operational Efficiency Director of Cascades Containerboard Packaging (CCP), the Continuous Improvement/Quality Coordinator will have the main responsibility  to support the evolution of our business practices in connection with world-class normative frameworks, at group level across all of our business units. The Continuous Improvement/Quality Coordinator plays an essential role in the compliance of customer requirements, the integration of our operations and the harmonization of our quality and safety management systems.

Job Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the evolution of our processes in relation to the requirements of the quality management system (ISO 9001 standard and others);
  • Ensure the implementation of the product safety program (GFSI recognized standards, GMPs, etc.) and other related programs / accreditations;
  • Facilitate the monitoring and improvement of procedures and instructions;
  • Coordinate the network of quality / continuous improvement managers of our units to contribute to the transfer of knowledge of best practices within the group;
  • Maximize synergies and integrations within Cascades’ business units;
  • Contribute to the resolution of technical problems in the units by coordinating and facilitating sessions in collaboration with the various stakeholders;
  • Ensure the management of non-conformities, customer complaints and the implementation of corrective actions;
  • Work in collaboration with our shared services to ensure the quality of our finished products until delivery to the customer;
  • Support the maintenance of our product quality and safety management system certifications (ISO 9001 & GFSI recognized standards), including the performance of internal audits;
  • Coordinate the planning and execution processes of internal and external audits for all our units;
  • Support the sales and customer service team on technical aspects and accreditations of our units.


Requirement and Skills
  • College diploma or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field;
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment;
  • Demonstrate leadership, initiative and accountability;
  • Have a great sense of planning and organization;
  • Advisory & impact role and demonstrate influencing skills;
  • In-depth knowledge of standards and management of third-party audits (ISO, BRC, SQF, etc.);
  • Bilingualism required;
  • The candidate will be required to travel frequently to the various units in North America. Regular presence in St. Bruno is required.
