The Containerboard Packaging Group, a division of Cascades, is the largest containerboard producer in Canada, and is also a top converter of corrugated products in the country. The Group manufactures a wide range of products made from recycled fibres for its North American customers in the food, beverage and consumer products sectors, among many others. The Division, which employs close to 3,400 people, owns six containerboard mills and nineteen corrugated products plants in Canada and the United States.

Your challenge!

Under the supervision of the Vice President of Marketing and Innovation, the incumbent will be required to participate proactively in the realization of projects. The incumbent will stand out for his or her extensive involvement in all spheres of innovation, particularly in market analysis and product development.

Job Responsibilities

  • Global market watch and analysis (including technical breakthroughs);
  • Research of data and trends having a direct or indirect impact on the industry (industry outlook and trends, competition, segmentation, clientele, etc.);
  • Identification of new products and innovations;
  • Market share reports by strategic market and by region;
  • Tracking KPIs and sales of new products.
  • Output and analyze market information to evaluate the market potential of a new product;
  • Carry out or collaborate in market studies related to our CEC innovation projects.
  • Assist innovation managers in the organization and implementation of certain product development projects.
  • Assist the innovation managers in the budget follow-up of their respective projects (including PO requisitions and budget reconciliation).

Your baggage and your strengths

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or business intelligence, master's degree an asset;
  • 2 to 5 years in market analysis or as an innovation assistant in a manufacturing company;
  • Bilingual (French and English) - written and spoken;
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft software;
  • Attention to detail, organized and rigorous;
  • Be dynamic, show initiative and resourcefulness;
  • Excellent ability to lead several projects at once and good priority management.
