CASCADES CONTAINERBOARD PACKAGING

The Containerboard Packaging Group, a division of Cascades, is the largest containerboard producer in Canada, and is also a top converter of corrugated products in the country. The Group manufactures a wide range of products made from recycled fibres for its North American customers in the food, beverage and consumer products sectors, among many others. The Division, which employs close to 3,400 people, owns six containerboard mills and nineteen corrugated products plants in Canada and the United States.

Job Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head Office and Sales Controller, the Financial Analyst will have to perform the following duties, among others:

  • Prepare and execute the month- and quarter-end process;
  • Actively participate to the preparation and analysis of financial results and statements;
  • Prepare financial statements for business units managed by the Head Office;
  • Contribute to budget and forecast preparation, and ensure their follow-up;
  • Act as a reference for the Head Office purchasing process;
  • Ensure the reliability and completeness of financial information that is generated;
  • Monitor best practices in his field of expertise and share them through the organization;

Formation

Bachelor's degree en Accounting

Desired experience

  • CPA accounting title an asset;
  • Cumulate at least 3-5 years of relevant experience;
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel environment;
  • Knowledge of SAP;
  • Analysis capacity as well as a strong initiative;
  • Work easily with changing deadlines and environments;
  • Have excellent organizational and planning skills, and be rigorous;
  • Perfect French level and intermediate English level required.
