Your Challenge


The Transportation Compliance Manager will be responsible for monitoring and controlling the systems and programs that Cascades Recovery+ has in place for our fleet that is operating in most of the Provinces in Canada and the US..

Responsibilities of the Role

 

  • Complete H&S and Fire Safety risk assessment and action plans
  • Work effective Accident and Incident Reporting System
  • Manage the CVOR for FFSI and FFSC, develop and execute plans to improve performance through driver and employee communication and training.
  • Manage Geotab and the standardization of the system in all Regions
  • Work effectively with Regional Transportation Managers and Dispatchers to manage the fleet
  • Have extensive knowledge of industry rules and regulations.
  • Actively liaise with the maintenance department to establish priorities
  • Work through regulatory audits (audit experience is considered an asset)
  • Have direct communication with Cascades Corporate office to implement initiatives related to Fleet management
  • Have strong dispute-resolution skills.
  • Advise on the investigation and reporting of accidents, incidents, and non-conformances while making recommendations for corrective actions
     

Requirements and Qualifications

 

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in fleet operations.
  • Experience working with government agencies, MOE, MOL, POLICE, and local city and fire officials.
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in using the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must possess strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to work with business operations in a safety-first culture.
  • Self-directed and decision-maker
  • Ability to manage new platforms (Geotab is an asset)
  • Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills
  • Travel across Canada and the US is required
  • Able to effectively work with maintenance and operations management.
