Job Description

Cascades Recovery+ is currently hiring a Licensed 310T Mechanics for our Etobicoke Location.

Job Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure that all aspects of service and repair meet the required standards as set out by the Cascades Recovery Inc. Preventive Maintenance Program

• Ensure that all service and maintenance practices meet the regulatory requirements for the MTO, MOL, and the MOE.

• Assist garage staff relative to equipment repair including preventative maintenance on all types of Cascade equipment. 

• From time to time expected to assist in the planning, organizing and control equipment for the garage, in conjunction with the Transportation Department and Plant Facilities.

• Work with Leadhands to coordinate and control the daily scheduling of service and repair of all road and plant equipment.

• Work daily to provided safe, reliable and available equipment with focus on quality of repair and shop productivity

• Ensure that all scheduled maintenance is completed as outlined by the Shop Leadhand.

• Complete all required Preventative Maintenance and Repair documents to include inventory part numbers and make sure that they are provided daily to the Leadhand

• Provide all necessary tools in order to complete repairs on all Cascades Recovery road fleet and plant equipment.

• Document all time keeping in ADP in order to insure good time records

Purchase Services Roles and Responsibilities

• To assist in provide control over parts inventory insuring that inventory levels are kept within the predetermined minimum/maximum.

• When required insure that all service and material purchases are in compliance with the Cascades Recovery Inc. Purchase order procedures.

• When required communicate to the Transportation Maintenance Manager all service and material purchases for his approval.

• Insure that all inventories (stock) are properly recorded on work documents to provided effective inventory control.

• Provide Leadhand with stock requirements to prevent inventory shortages

• Receive stock inventory from suppliers and insure properly allocated by BIN locations as outlined by Leadhand

Safety Roles and Responsibilities

• Follow all safe working procedures and practices as outlined by the Occupational Health and Safety to include the review of all safety meeting minutes.

• Insure that the garage is kept in a clean and organized condition with focus on safety

• Insure that all safety equipment related to road vehicles, plant vehicles, and garage equipment are kept in good working condition.

• Provide Leadhand with information related to safety, equipment repairs, productivity, and availability as it pertains to the safe operation of our road fleet and plant equipment

 

Qualifications

Qualifications

· Valid G class Ontario Drivers License

· Minimum 5 years experience in the transportation industry

· Minimum 5 years experience truck / trailer maintenance

· 310T license is a must
