GL/Set Up Operator

Job Description

The function of a position is to run the orders that come to them in an efficient, cost effective manner. We are looking for candidates who are good with their hands, strong with mechanical issues and consider themselves problem solvers. We are looking for afternoon(2pm - 10pm) and mid-night shifts(10pm - 6pm) and are looking for people who are flexible in moving shifts.

Job Responsibilities

  • Complete required training and knowledge based on the Training Matrix
  • Participate actively in the daily shift meetings
  • Lead by example (Safety, Quality, Attendance, Paperwork, Company policies & General Behavior)
  • Produce high quality product and complete hourly quality checks
  • Be an active member in daily problem-solving 
  • Responsible for the daily operations of assigned converting equipment inclusive of changes overs

Qualifications

  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent; able to read and write legibly.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace, stable under pressure and organized, while staying within safety rules and regulations
  • Must have mechanical and technical aptitude
  • Must be able to operate various machinery and equipment
  • Must be able to walk/stand for majority of shift (10-12 hours)
  • Must be able to lift between 50-70 lbs
  • Works well with other team members, avoids conflict and is autonomous (Self-starter, takes initiative, etc.)
  • Safety centered mindset
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral)
  • Ability to be accountable and dependable
