  • Schedule:  Monday-Friday, Day Shift (ie. 7AM-3PM). Must be available for emergency call outs during off hours/weekends

Develop your talents by applying your expertise within our Lithotech facility in Scarborough. As the Electrician  you will:

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical process control, instrumentation and electrical distribution to minimize process unplanned down time.
  • Read and interprets drawings and schematics.
  • Inspect, measure, analyze process variables and control them within specification.
  • Draw and (or) edit electrical wiring diagrams to maintain ‘As Built’ status of machines.
  • Maintain LV/HV electrical installations in compliance with Canadian electrical code.
  • Modify, repair electrical components or circuits maintain production capacity.
  • Select electrical components to replace old/obsolete parts to maintain technological life of machines.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance and continuous improvement in order to improve on plant reliability.
  • Suggest improving effectiveness of PM activities.
  • Participate in projects, such as installations, start-ups, and shutdown.
  • Maintain effective multi layer verbal/non-verbal communication with all stake holders.
  • Maintain a safe, clean work area and follows all safety procedures (e.g. ZES, IES, 5S, AIB) and other applicable standards.
  • Provide support off scheduled shift in case of emergency repair.
  • Document activities and generates data such as logbooks, work orders, hazard report, incident report and emails.
  • Supervise outside contractors when on-site.
  • Receive necessary trainings and trains other co-workers.
  • Help industrial millwrights as needed.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned, according to business needs.

Technical skills, education, and experience required: 

  • Minimum high school diploma with some technical education
  • Industrial Electrician (442A) required; additional Instrumentation and Control Technician (447A) a plus
  • Ability to read and write English.
  • 5+ years of post-license experience in an Industrial Electrician position.
  • Understanding of industry/process and/or manufacturing experience
  • Advanced electrical control skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code
  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • Basic mechanical and fluid power skills
