Inside Sales Representative

Your challenge!

Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Inside Sales representative(ISR) is responsible to ensure client satisfaction through our Recovery+ Business. The ISR has comprehensive understanding of the medium to larger size client's business in order to meet their desired objectives. This position requires light travel to visit customers. We are looking for a self-starter, personable and accountable professional with B2B experience to join our team!

Your responsibilities

  • Confidently builds customer relationships with decision-making level contacts
  • Works with the management team to identify account challenges and develop strategies that will meet all company and client requirements
  • Acts as a key contact for implementing program enhancements - selling additional discarded materials management programs, while conducting ongoing account reviews to ensure account profit levels are maximized
  • Works with clients and internal departments ensuring daily service and program goals are achieved
  • Qualifies and assesses customer accounts prior to site visits to determine the best opportunity to expand, secure or improve material diversion
  • Utilizes applicable sales tools effectively including, but not limited to, monthly TRUX Prospects dB, forecasting worksheets, all reports, and assessment templates and communicates and documents progress
  • Works with clients and internal departments ensuring daily service and program goals are achieved
  • Establishes and maintains a thorough understanding of all of the Company’s clients in the branch and ensure all programs and products the Company offers are in place at all clients

Your background and strengths

  • Post-secondary education preferred with a specialty in Marketing or Sales
  • 2 to 3 years’  experience in B2B sales position is preferred
  • Experience in a related industry (recycling, waste management, etc.) would be a definite asset.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to make effective presentations.  
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.  
  • Working knowledge of computer programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Must have a valid drivers’ license and have a clean driving record
  • Understanding of sourcing methodology, contract strategy, contract terms, and basic legal terms and conditions
  • Ability to understand and interpret requests for contracts, evaluate and analyze costs and data, handle problems and to understand business requirements
  • Leadership and expertise in promoting buy-in to proposed solutions
