At our Cascades in Richmond, BC you can develop your full potential, sustainably, by applying your expertise within the Containerboard Packaging division of our team as the Quality Lead:

 

  • Implementation and monitoring of the quality daily management activities in collaboration with the quality team at the group level.
  • Responsible in the implementation, monitoring, and audit of the various certifications.
  • Lead customers interaction in collaboration with internal stakeholders for the execution of customer qualifications, product qualifications and evaluation of plant improvement opportunities from the complaint management system.
  • Establishes and analyzes site quality objectives regarding product issues, defective materials, customer, and supplier complaints.
  • Participate in the implementation of improvement projects in collaboration with the operations team.
  • Responsible for training and awareness of staff on quality (principles, procedures, quality culture)
  • Contribute to improve the group synergy and global success through our containerboard network.
  • Responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the organization’s safety programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and the promotion of a safe and healthy workplace
  • Developing safety policies, conducting risk assessments and hazard controls and facilitating training to team
  • Lead investigations, required reporting and JHSC tasks

You too, will put forward your strengths: 

 

  • Experience leading and coaching teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, course or certification in quality management, or a combination of the above.
  • 3+ years of experience with quality standards, auditing process and knowledge of industry regulations
  • Ability to travel to our other facilities and customer sites (Canada-USA)
  • Lean Manufacturing: Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, ideal candidate will have a Black Belt or Green Belt certification.
  • Education in safety is preferred
  • Minimum of 3+ years experience in safety management is preferred
  • Knowledge of WCB, OSHA and other regulations
