What you’ll do

As a Production Lead Hand, you’ll be at the heart of operations - right on the floor where materials take shape. 
Your day-to-day:

  • Ensure a safe work environment and promote compliance with all health and safety standards
  • Supervise and support employees in producing high-quality finished products efficiently
  • Plan, assign, and coordinate work based on production schedulesMonitor production output and quality standards, making adjustments as needed
  • Maintain compliance with BRCGS procedures, including equipment, processes, and documentationSubmit detailed daily reports at the end of each shift
  • Build strong employee relations by modeling professionalism, accountability, and teamworkIdentify and escalate production or employee concerns in a timely manner
  • Participate in and support Joint Health & Safety Committee initiatives
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Production Manager 

 

 

Your strengths as a Production Lead Hand

You are a natural fit for this role if:

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and guide teams
  • Proven ability to build trust and collaborate effectively with employees and management
  • Minimum of 5 years’  of manufacturing experience in Ontario, with at least 3 years in a Machine Operator or Lead Hand role.
  • Knowledge of health and safety policies and the Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to drive engagement and gain buy-in for continuous improvement initiatives
