Your challenge!

Development, training and supervision of the Electrical and E/I talent in a production environment.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Maintenance of all Electrical and PLC devices in manufacturing environment
  2. Oversee supervison of crafts as related to manufacturing in electrical field
  3. Development and training of E/I resources
  4. Safety, quality and effeciencies of maintenance E/I resources

Business Objectives Alignment

Help draw up the maintenance budget to meet the unit’s business objectives

Support his sector’s objectives as a maintenance/reliability manager

Operational Excellence

Ensure and/or facilitate the sector’s adherence to its annual maintenance budget

Follow best practices and ensure the efficiency and quality of the unit’s maintenance/reliability operations

Ensure operational excellence and eliminate issues by making recommendations to his manager

Work with Production to coordinate and prioritize maintenance activities

Support his unit’s operational strategy

Human Resources

Help employees reporting to him to develop their skills and make sure they receive the necessary training to carry out their responsibilities

Help maintain a positive work environment by walking the floor and fostering two-way communication

Manage and engage his staff based on Cascades’ values and business strategy

Health & Safety

Develop and maintain a healthy and safe work environment for all Cascades employees

Help implement the OSH action plan

Promote sound occupational health and safety management

Personally commit to and display strong leadership in health and safety

Corporate Responsibility and Governance

Ensure compliance with laws, standards and regulations in effect for buildings and equipment

Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) in Engineering

Certificate in Engineering

Desired experience

  1. 5-10 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing environment over seeing Crafts - Electricians, and E/I talent
  2. Strong understanding and knowledge of PLC's, Electronics, and Electricians including current standards in quality, safety and manufacturing
  3. Experience in a converting manufacturing environment
  4. Strong leadership as it relates to development, training, organization and implementation of processes and standards in Maintenance

Technical competencies

  1. Electrical certification, PLC and programing experience - Allen Bradley and other similar platforms
  2. Microsoft office suite including SharePoint
  3. MES Systems, including SAP and Workorder systems in maintenance
  4. Time and attendance, including experience with Ultipro or Kronos or other similiar systems
