CASCADES TISSUE GROUP
The Tissue Group, a division of Cascades, is the second-largest tissue producer in Canada and the fifth-largest in North America. The Division manufactures, converts and markets a huge selection of paper products, such as hand towels, bathroom tissue, facial tissue, napkins, paper towels, wipers and dispensers for the North American away-from-home and consumer products markets. The Group has more than 2,200 employees and operates seven manufacturing plants, nine conversion plants and four plants with both manufacturing and conversion facilities.
Reporting to the Plant Manager, your challenge will be to lead systems and people regarding quality assurance and standards for Pennsylvania converting and paper mill.
- Master and apply organizational quality standards and continuous improvement programs.
- Develop and lead the monitoring of quality standards and procedures.
- Ensure mill activities comply with specifications required by Cascades, customers, and related regulatory agencies.
- Work with suppliers, sales and production staff to ensure quality required for successful production and sale of finished products.
- Assist with the creation of a budget by participating in the mill budget preparation process.
- Supervise quality assurance staff.
- Serve as liaison and host for quality auditing and accreditation groups.
- Will represent the mill and Tissue Group in presenting strategy and point-of-view on quality.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline.or experience in leading a quality function.
- Ability to communicate well with external parties and with various parties within Cascades.
- Must be effective working with all levels in our organization and be an advocate for the interests of the mill and corporation with external parties.
- Computer literate, able to use MS software and learn other business software such as SAP.
- Initiative, decisiveness, team oriented.
