Your challenge!

Reporting to the Plant or Production Manager, the Scheduler’s mission is to implement the plant's production plan in order to maximize available resources, optimize inventories and ensure its ability to meet customer demand. You ensure the supply of production materials by planning material requirements and purchase requisitions. You communicate any changes to the production schedule to the production planner and the logistics department and find alternative solutions to address production variances. As a result, you guarantee the quality of customer service and maximize the plant's production and yield potential.

Execute the production plan.

Responsible

Help optimize MRP parameters.

Maintain your plant’s production scheduling plan (short term) so as to maximize resources, optimize inventories and ensure quality customer service.

Identify and validate supply/requisition requirements.

Keep the planning board up to date and manage short-term alerts relating to your function.

Ensure execution based on BOMs.

Manage the short-term contingency in collaboration with the person in charge of production.

Communicate variances and propose alternative scenarios in your planning horizon.

Experiences and strengths

2 to 5 years of experience

College diploma/degree in planning, supply chain or equivalent

Computer skills including Microsoft Office and SAP

Good analytical skills, accountability and problem solving ability

Good resource management skills

Ability to communicate effectively with planning and plant team regarding issues

Ability to carry out a number of projects simultaneously while respecting deadlines.

Exemplary rigour in carrying out responsibilities.

Ability to translate challenges into concrete solutions.

Ability to adapt quickly and a high level of agility in order to respond to the various stakeholders’ needs.
