Your challenge!

Reporting to the Prepress Supervisor, the Prepress Specialist’s mission is to prepare files and designs graphic elements so as to help the team achieve its operational efficiency objectives. You will see to the completion of graphic projects by coordinating the entire graphic production calendar with the support of the team. This will ensure that graphic projects are completed on time, are within budget and have satisfied the requests of our client and business partners. You will ensure ongoing communication with these stakeholders so as to determine the best choice of graphics, inks and varnishes, after determining the scope of the project. Lastly, you will support the entire team in producing high-quality projects that fully meet the needs of clients and business partners.

Individual responsibilities

Accountable 
Complete graphic projects while respecting deadlines, budgets, and the needs of clients and business partners.  

Complete projects in accordance with cost, and schedule and production constraints. 
   
Responsible 
Coordinate all steps in the development of the graphic project, in accordance 
with the production schedule. 

Follow existing procedures, manage priorities and ensure that the final product is of the highest quality.    

Propose innovative ideas or cost savings to customers while identifying problems that could cause production delays. 

Participate in R&D projects and printing tests 

Support teams in their efforts to solve problems  

Participate in activities and discussions related to client satisfaction and 
leading to final approval 

Provide the necessary information regarding prepress billing. 

Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. 

Train team members on the proper use of computer graphics equipment. 
   

Experiences and strengths

College diploma in graphic design or the equivalent 

At least five years of experience in the packaging field, in a similar position.  

Proficiency in graphic software 

At least five years of experience with a workflow system 

Ability to collaborate with team members and colleagues  

A constant concern for improving the efficiency and quality of services and the service rendered 

Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while respecting deadlines and priorities. 

Ability to grasp client needs quickly and meet those needs  

Ability to support and advise clients and business partners in analyzing 
their needs and finding solutions. 

Ability to proactively address issues and problems by proposing solutions. 

Strict devotion to quality, attention to detail.
