What you’ll do
As a Industrial Maintenance Technician, you’ll be at the heart of operations - right on the floor where materials take shape.
Your day-to-day:
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and conveyor system issues.
- Maintain and repair corrugated manufacturing equipment including flexo folder gluers, slotters, die cutters, stitchers, conveyors, balers, and material handling systems.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and production issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime and support operational efficiency.
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential problems and implement corrective actions.
- Perform machine changeovers, adjustments, alignments, and equipment upgrades as needed.
- Service and maintain plant utilities including boilers, air compressors, vacuum systems, HVAC equipment, and electric lift trucks.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Assist with installation, modification, and startup of new equipment and production systems.
- Support reliability and continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment performance and reduce maintenance costs.
- Utilize maintenance management systems (CMMS) to document work orders, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance activities.
- Perform welding, fabrication, machining, and parts replacement as required.
- Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), machine guarding, confined space, and other applicable safety requirements.
- Maintain organized work areas and practice good housekeeping standards.
- Collaborate with production, operations, and management teams to ensure equipment reliability and production goals are achieved.
- Participate in emergency repairs and on-call support as required.
- Perform general building and facility maintenance as needed.
- Complete all other duties and special projects as assigned by management.
Your strengths as a Industrial Maintenance Technician
You are a natural fit for this role if:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or maintenance certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Knowledge of PLCs, motor controls, sensors, VFDs, and industrial electrical systems preferred.
- Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
