Its wide range of expertise allows it to offer advisory services for optimizing products and processes, managing and delivering projects, supporting energy efficiency, and refurbishing used equipment. 

Job Responsibilities

The energy efficiency engineer must;  

Act as a steam technical specialist in major energy projects;

Participate as a technical specialist in Cascades' internal and external energy and Kaizens energy audits in order to optimize the various systems (dryness, thermo-compressor, drainage system, steam and condensate network);

Optimization of thermal power plants (steam generator; degasser; safety valve);

Work closely with project managers and play a technical expert role within the team;

Validate the concepts and technical solutions of energy efficiency projects;

Benchmark energy best practices in Cascades plants in their efforts to reduce energy consumption.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering

Desired experience

Have at least 10 years of experience in thermal systems

Technical competencies

The energy efficiency engineer must be a member of the OIQ;

Understand the requirements of ASME codes B31.1 and 31.3;

Knowledge of the Pressure Vessel Regulations;

Fluency in French and English, both orally and in writing;

The energy efficiency engineer must be flexible and highly adaptable;

Be customer-oriented and act as an energy consultant;

Be results-oriented;

Holding EMC and CMVP certification will be considered an asset.

Additional information

The workplace is located in Kingsey Falls with a possibility to work in our offices in Brossard.

Frequent travel is expected within the Cascades Group's various units in Canada and the United States (in the order of 25%)
