Your challenge!

Under the responsibility of the S&OP Director, the On-Demand Planner will implement the sales forecasting processes in collaboration with the various sales teams and some major customers, identify changes in market conditions and their impact on forecasts and ensure the accuracy of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for forecast accuracy. Also, the on-demand planner will also support the S&OP production planning process, coordinate forecasts with the production of the plant or plants under his responsibility to optimize the supply chain and develop forecasting processes for the development of new production.

Job Responsibilities

The purpose of the on-demand planner is to manage the accuracy and reliability of forecasts. As a result, it is incumbent upon:

  • Prepare information for meeting #1 of the S&OP process;
  • Maintain demand forecast data in SAP's Integrated Business Planning (IBP);
  • Perform promotion and sales forecasts;
  • Support the demand plan with sales and marketing data;
  • Define and maintain overall demand for finished products by shipping point (sales forecasts, promotion scenarios and so on);
  • Identify the gaps between the execution of the sales plan and the sales objectives;
  • To equip managers for decision-making related to S&OP processes;
  • Identify and analyse the internal and external factors that can influence demand;
  • Support the sales and marketing team in the development of the sales plan;
  • Foster the emergence of ideas for improvement and innovation within his team;
  • Maintain regular contact with customers to fully understand their needs in collaboration with sales.

Have a minimum of 5 years in a similar position

Technical competencies
  • Excellent knowledge of planning and distribution operations, particularly in distribution activities
  • Good analytical and leadership skills, responsibility, organization and problem solving skills
  • Excellent IT skills and knowledge of demand planning and inventory management (SAP) tools;
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with all stakeholders.
  • Ability to influence and guide change in their sector;
Additional information

The candidate must be available for monthly travel within the plants for which he or she will be assigned. In addition, he or she must be able to travel to the United States (valid passport).
