Job Description

Reporting to the Human Resources Advisor, the chosen candidate will work closely with the Human Resources, Finance and Customer Service Department by helping with data entries, payroll, filing and general office duties as required. You will support the HR department through administrative activities related to Health and Safety, Performance, Training and Attendance Management.


Job Responsibilities

  • Performs all administrative and support activities required by the HR, Finance and Customer Service Departments
  • Preparation and coordination of paperwork to support any Human Resources issues, including payroll changes and benefit changes
  • Organize staff functions, meeting, lunches etc
  • Process hourly payroll, weekly.
  • Act as main point of contact with supervisors and employees on all payroll inquiries
  • Report temp employee hours to appropriate agency.
  • Track Attendance weekly and ensure that the Attendance Policy Guidelines are being followed.
  • Complete, verify and process forms and documentation for administration of benefits such as pension plans, leaves, share savings, employment and medical insurance.
  • Employee training and development- assist with conducting and tracking all internal and external training through company data base
  • New employee onboarding, including orientation, training and onboarding documentation
  • Assist with Finance and Customer Service paperwork and data entry
  • All other duties required to support the business


  • Preferred candidates have a Post Secondary Diploma in Human Resource Management or related field
  • Completion of college or other courses in accounting, bookkeeping or payroll administration
    Experience as an office administration technician or related work
  • Payroll experience and or working with an HRIS system/data system is an asset
  • AS400 or Ultipro experience is an asset but not required
  • Advanced computer skills in Excel, PowerPoint
  • Must be self-motivated, able to function autonomously, well organized, rigorous, conscientious and efficient under pressure;
