Production Operator

Your Challenge

Under the supervision of the Production Supervisor, the Pulper Operator will dump paper onto a conveyor to fill the pulping machine.  Throughout the shift the employee will monitor paper, water, and chemical levels to ensure the correct consistency of the pulp.

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Place recycled paper on pulper conveyor, cut and remove wire from the paper prior to placing it on the conveyor
  • Operate forklift machinery
  • Admit pulp to specified consistency
  • Record hourly bale usage
  • Report necessary maintenance information to the proper personnel
  • Ensure all functions are accomplished safety and correctly by following the work instructions
  • Support the Safe Quality Food Packaging system, as well as all other company policies and programs
     

Qualifications

 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • Ability to work at a fast pace, stable under pressure and organized, while staying within safety rules and regulations
  • Must have mechanical and technical aptitude
  • Willing to operate various machinery and equipment
  • Must be able to lift between 50-70 lbs
  • Comfortable working 12 hour rotating shifts (including days, nights, weekends and holidays)
