CASCADES TISSUE GROUP

The Tissue Group, a division of Cascades, is the second-largest tissue producer in Canada and the fifth-largest in North America. The Division manufactures, converts and markets a huge selection of paper products, such as hand towels, bathroom tissue, facial tissue, napkins, paper towels, wipers and dispensers for the North American away-from-home and consumer products markets. The Group has more than 2,200 employees and operates seven manufacturing plants, nine conversion plants and four plants with both manufacturing and conversion facilities.

Reporting to the Senior Sales Controller and as a member of the Commercial Finance team, the Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for:

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Produce financial performance analysis for the commercial sector in order to help the sales and marketing teams maximize financial results ;
  • Participate in customer and product pricing and analysis to improve the profitability of the commercial sector ;
  • Support and facilitate the decision-making process of the sales team and management by providing quality financial information ;
  • Ensure optimal use and continuous improvement of financial information processes and systems ;
  • Help identify and implement relevant performance indicators ;
  • Actively participate in action plans to improve profitability ;
  • Analyze and improve the accounting structure for cost measurement to ensure efficient monitoring ;
  • Support project managers by providing the financial analysis necessary for decision making and project follow-up ;
  • Support the sales and marketing teams with a rigorous follow-up of SG&A (sales and marketing expenses) with the objective of reaching the established objectives ;
  • Participate in the development and improvement of the budget process at the price and margin level ;
  • Support the Innovation team as a finance expert.

Desired experience

 

  • Minimum of 7 years experience in a similar position
  • Analytical experience within a sales organization
  • CPA designation an asset
