  •  Possible responsibility for planning day to day shipments and deliveries
  • Ensuring that all orders are loaded and shipped in a timely and safe manner;
  • Perform general physical activities in order to load, unload, sort and move shipments by hand or using material handling equipment;
  • Ensure that customer requirements are being met consistently;
  • Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of shipment;
  • Verification of corner markers and counts
  • Pack, seal, and label materials to prepare for shipping;
  • Perform tasks in multi-temperature environments;
  • Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route materials;
  • Complete daily shipping and receiving logs;
  • Record shipment data for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes;
  • May contact carrier representative to make arrangements and to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials;
  • Maintain cleanliness in shipping and receiving area.
