Challenge
Under the supervision of the on-site Controller, the candidate will have the following responsibilities:
- Serve as a financial specialist and contribute to the unit's business development, while ensuring coordination in keeping with the Group's strategic plan
- Implement financial, administrative, and accounting management best practices that apply to the unit
- Manage and engage employees based on Cascades’ values and business strategy
- Develop and maintain a healthy and safe work environment for all of his/her unit's employees
- Foster and promote ethical behaviors, the culture and values of Cascades
- Participate in developing financial systems
- Help the unit's management team implement and monitor business processes (including the budget process, month-end process, analyses, and communication of internal and external financial information)
- Promote sound health management
- Guarantee the reliability and completeness of the financial information produced
- Identify opportunities to reduce unit costs
- Maintain an effective control structure to minimize business risks related to operations and/or fraud
- Plan and lead the reengineering of the Group's business processes in the unit
- Analyze operational and financial performance indicators to contribute to the unit's decision
- Maximize use of the unit's working capital
- Determine and interpret the relationship between financial results and operational performance to identify improvement opportunities
- Participate to the budget process
- Ensure Internal Controls effectiveness and processes are effective
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in finance or related field.
- Two years’ experience preferred
- Comprehension of accounting processes and practices
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication skills.

- High level of personal motivation and drive for organizational success.
- Ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization.
- The ability to travel and obtain a Passport and be willing to travel Est. 2 times per year
- Must be willing to relocate within the US when the permanent position is established.
