Job Title: Material Handler

Job Description:

We are looking for a Material Handler (Stock Pusher) with similar experience or with preferred experience in corrugated / printing Industry flexible for 8 hours rotational shifts.

Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • The Material Handler receives order information, moves product (bales of cardboard) from one line to the next by pushing bales along the rollers to the transfer car and then to the appropriate line for the specified converting press.
  • Employee must follow instructions in a timely manner to ensure orders are processed on time.
  • Operate transfer car.
  • Push bales along rollers onto/off transfer cart.
  • Receive/deliver orders for converting presses.
  • Stack fallen bales.
  • Separate interlocked/stuck bales.
  • Comfortable using Rollers/conveyors, Pry-Bar for separating stuck bales.
  • Use computer system to track and maneuver orders.
  • Reports to the shift Supervisor

  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
  • This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, pushing, and pulling, and operating pump cart and wheel flats.
  • The employee must frequently lift/and or move items weighing up to 50 pounds. Items over 50 pounds may require team lift.
  •  Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

 

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent; able to read and write legibly.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace, stable under pressure and organized, while staying within safety rules and regulations.
  • Proficiency with Computer skills.
  • Must be able to walk/stand for majority of shift (8 hours).
  • Must be able to lift between 35-50 lbs.
  • Safety centered mindsets.
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral).
  • Ability to be accountable and dependable.
