Serve as an expert in the field making business decisions and developing business strategies


Job Responsibilities

• Serve as a financial specialist and contribute to the unit's business development, while ensuring coordination in keeping with the Group's strategic plan

• Implement financial, administrative, and accounting management best practices that apply to the unit

• Manage and engage employees based on Cascades’ values and business strategy

• Develop and maintain a healthy and safe work environment for all of his/her unit's employees

• Foster and promote ethical behaviors, the culture and values of Cascades

• Participate in developing financial systems

• Help the unit's management team implement and monitor business processes (including the budget process, month-end process, analyses, and communication of internal and external financial information)

• Promote sound health management

• Guarantee the reliability and completeness of the financial information produced

• Identify opportunities to reduce unit costs

• Maintain an effective control structure to minimize business risks related to operations and/or fraud

• Plan and lead the reengineering of the Group's business processes in the unit

• Analyze operational and financial performance indicators to contribute to the unit's decision

• Maximize use of the unit's working capital

• Determine and interpret the relationship between financial results and operational performance to identify improvement opportunities

• Participate to the budget process

• Ensure Internal Controls effectiveness and processes are effective

Serve as an expert in the field and assist the manager in making business decisions and developing business strategies

Bachelor's degree in Finance

Desired experience

• Two years’ experience preferred

• Comprehension of accounting processes and practices

• Good interpersonal skills 

• Excellent communication skills
