- Base Salary for Quality Lead is $72k - $108k
At our Cascades facility in Ashland, Virginia (Bear Island), you can develop your full potential, sustainably, by applying your expertise within the Containerboard Packaging Group of our team as the Quality Lead:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the Quality Pillar for the Plant Management Committee.
- Implementation and monitoring of the quality daily management activities in collaboration with the quality team at the group level.
- Responsible in the implementation, monitoring, and audit of the various certifications. (FSC, SFI, RPTA, etc.)
- Lead customers interaction in collaboration with internal stakeholders for the execution of customer qualifications, product qualifications and evaluation of plant improvement opportunities from the complaint management system.
- Establishes and analyzes site quality objectives regarding product issues, defective materials, customer, and supplier complaints.
- Participate in the implementation of improvement projects in collaboration with the operations team.
- Responsible for training and awareness of staff on quality (principles, procedures, quality culture)
- Contribute to improve the group synergy and global success through our containerboard network.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, course or certification in quality management, or a combination of the above.
- 3+ years of experience with quality standards, auditing process and knowledge of industry regulations
- Ability to travel to our other facilities and customer siteS (Canada-USA)
- Lean Manufacturing: Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, ideal candidate will have a Black Belt or Green Belt certification.
