  • Base Salary Range for PAPER MACHINE PROCESS LEAD L2 IS $72k-$108k+ based on experience level and qualifications that align with the requirements. 
  • Profit Sharing based on profitability of the company is offered as a % of base salary.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for all outcomes related to the techniques, processes, and systems in an area that results in superior product quality.
  • Works closely with the Asset Owner and Reliability Lead, owning and driving lean manufacturing processes such as Centerlines (CL) and Rapid Changeovers (RCO):
  • Work with production planners to optimize production schedule and grade changes.
  • Calibrate centerline.
  • Develop modification request forms (DAMMES)
  • Collects and analyzes data on quality and production variances and creates action plan to mitigate variance.
  • Share best practices with other Process Leads
  • Communicate any procedural issues with suppliers.
  • Support large / small scale projects / modifications in area including machine parts design.
  • Continuously improve standards and processes related to CL and RCO
  • Utilize centerline to troubleshoot and ensure correct base condition.
  • Train and coach operators on best practices for CL and RCO
  • Support CI Pillar, Autonomous Asset Management Pillar, and Quality Pillar
  • Assess asset performance and correct situation.
  • Execute product development/qualification process.
  • Document management (standard operating procedures "SOP’s”)

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE & STRENGTHS

  • Excited by working with and leading team members dedicated to achieving goals.
  • Knowledge and experience with chemical, mechanical and electrical processes involved in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in the paper industry highly desirable.
  • Demonstrates good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience and understanding of Lean Production System principles.
  • Strong interpersonal skills: ability to work well and communicate with others.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical and/or engineering, industrial technology, or other related degree. A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
  • 5+ years’ experience as a chemical process/quality engineer or engineering technician in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office
