Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Project Lead Sr is responsible for ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies across our multiple sites, overseeing quality initiatives across projects. This position involves leading quality teams, managing project-specific quality strategies, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product and process quality.
RESPONSIBILITES:
- Support our network on the use of problem solving and continuous improvement tools to resolve issues, prevent recurrence and drive improvements in the quality of our products and services. (applying techniques such as: 5 Whys, Ishikawa diagrams, FMEA, & others)
- Collaborate with sites, internal stakeholders and customers to address quality concerns and ensure high customer satisfaction levels,
- Leverage tools to gather quality data related to monitor performance, identify trends, detect issues, validate and support site improvement practices and support implementation of corrective actions. (MES, SAP/Q & QIM, PowerBi, & others)
- Validate the execution and analysis of quality tests to drive improvements in manufacturing processes and ensure consistent product quality.
- Create, develop, and maintain documents to ensure effective management of SOPs, controlled documents, and work instructions in compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
- Provide training and guidance on quality processes to ensure adherence to company quality standards, industry regulations, and customer requirements.
- Conduct internal audits and Gemba walks, support external audit processes to ensure full adherence to regulatory requirements and continuous quality compliance. Audits linked to food standards (BRCGS/GFSI) preferred.
- Lead projects to improve product quality, process efficiency, and compliance with industry standards by utilizing data-driven methodologies such as Six Sigma, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement frameworks.
COMPETENCES/EXPERTISE:
- Demonstrate initiative, strong communication & analytical skills.
- Advisory & impact role and demonstrate influencing skills
- Have a great sense of planning, rigour and organization.
- College diploma or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment (paper industry, an advantage)
- Bilingualism, French and English, an advantage.
- The candidate will be required to travel frequently to the various units in North America.
