Cascades Inc. is seeking a skilled and experience Millwright/Mechanic with expertise as an industrial mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a keen eye for detail. As a Millwright/Mechanic at Cascades Inc., you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our corrugating and converting equipment to ensure efficient and reliable production processes.

 

Develop your talents by applying your expertise within our facility in Piscataway, as the Maintenance Mechanic - For Future Positions! :

 

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on corrugating and converting equipment, including but not limited to, corrugators, flexo folder gluers, die cutters, and associated machinery.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues to minimize downtime and maximize equipment efficiency.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance activities to ensure the ongoing reliability of machinery and equipment efficiency.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify opportunities for equipment improvement and optimization.
  • Participate in the installation, commissioning, and decommissioning of corrugating and converting machinery as needed.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Millwright/ Mechanic in a manufacturing environment.

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and a thorough understanding of mechanical drive, understand basic electricity, including motors, drives, and some knowledge of plc.

  • Experience with troubleshooting and repairing electrical and hydraulic, hydraulic, pneumatic system is an asset.

  • Knowledge of predictive e and preventive maintenance practices

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
